We requested cfi.trade from ten countries through a commercial proxy network on 27 July 2026 — the UK, Germany, the UAE, Singapore, Japan, India, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The domain is identical every time. The company behind it is not.

You appear to be in Entity you are dealing with Regulator named Risk warning shown
United Kingdom Credit Financier Invest Limited (FRN 828955) FCA 81% of retail accounts lose money
Germany, Japan, Thailand The Cyprus entity (CySEC licence 179/12) CySEC 74% of retail accounts lose money
United Arab Emirates CFI Financial Markets LLC CMA None shown
Singapore, India, Indonesia, Vietnam CFI International Ltd None named None shown
South Africa Credit Financier Invest International Limited None named None shown

Six of the ten countries we checked are shown no risk warning at all — the UAE, Singapore, India, South Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam. Those last two matter because South-East Asia is where much of this industry sells hardest and where local licensing is thinnest: the readers least protected by their own regulator are also the ones this broker tells least.

Routing clients to a local entity is normal and often required. Two things here are worth a reader’s attention anyway.

First, the risk warning disappears. A UK visitor is told 81% of retail accounts lose money; a German or Japanese visitor is told 74%. A visitor from the UAE, Singapore, India or South Africa is told nothing. That disclosure is mandatory under UK and EU rules and not under the others, so its absence is lawful — but the underlying product is the same leveraged CFD, and the roughly four-in-five failure rate does not change with your postcode. If you are outside the UK and EU, the number the broker is not required to show you is the one printed at the top of this review.

Second, the entity changes what protects you. The UK entity holds an FCA licence with client money permission. The Cyprus entity brings MiFID II and €20,000 of ICF cover. CFI International Ltd — served to Singapore and India — appears on none of the registers we can search, and we have no evidence about it either way. Nor does the group state, on the page it serves those visitors, which authority stands behind it.

Before depositing, establish which of these five entities your client agreement names. It is the single fact that determines whether you have FSCS cover, €20,000 of ICF cover, or nothing we could verify.

Negative Balance Protection

CFI offers negative balance protection to its clients, ensuring that they will not lose more than the funds available in their trading account. This means that if a trader’s account balance reaches zero due to trading losses, CFI will absorb any additional losses, and the trader will not be required to pay back any negative balance.

It is essential for traders to understand that negative balance protection does not negate the risks associated with trading and should not be relied upon as a substitute for proper risk management. Traders should always employ sound risk management techniques, such as setting appropriate stop-loss orders and managing their position sizes, to minimise potential losses.

Prohibited Countries

What this broker actually restricts

These are the restrictions cfi.trade publishes on its own site, quoted in full rather than summarised. We fetched them through an Indonesian exit on 27 July 2026, because a UK connection is often served a different entity’s terms.

  • “We do not offer our investment /ancillary services to residents of certain jurisdictions such as USA, Sudan, Republic of Korea and other countries, as those listed to FATF and MONEYVAL recommendations Cookies Policy Privacy Policy This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.”

Anything not quoted above is not something we can show you. Restrictions can also appear in a client agreement you only see at sign-up, or be enforced silently by the account-opening form, so treat this as what the broker states publicly rather than the complete list.
