Editorial policy.
Scores come from data on a fixed method, not from opinion or from whoever paid us. When we get something wrong we correct it in public.
1. Our editorial standard
TrueBroker publishes information people use to decide where to put their money. That places it squarely in the category of content that has to be right, and we hold it to that standard.
- Built from verifiable sources, never speculation
- Free from commercial influence
- Written in plain English, with the reasoning shown
- Corrected in public when it turns out to be wrong
2. How a Trust Score is built
Every score out of 10 is computed from the same weighted inputs for every firm, with no manual overrides:
- Regulation: which regulators licence the firm, and whether the licence is real and current
- History: how long the firm has operated and under what names
- Products: the quality and clarity of what it actually offers
- Reviews: verified trader reviews, weighted toward funded accounts
- Withdrawal complaints and verified payout evidence
Scores are recomputed daily. A firm’s score moves when its inputs move, and nobody can adjust the result by hand.
3. Who writes verdicts
The score is computed. The plain-English verdict beside it is written by our review team, who are named to us and accountable internally. Verdicts explain what the numbers mean and are reviewed before publication.
Community reviews are labeled as such and are never presented as our editorial position.
4. Sources and fact-checking
We cross-check claims against regulator registers and public enforcement records, official broker documentation, verified payout evidence, and corroborating reports from multiple independent traders.
A single unverified complaint does not become a red notice. A pattern that survives checking does.
5. Commercial independence
Some firms pay for clearly labeled placement. Payment buys position on a page and nothing else. Scores, verdicts, red notices and comparison rankings are computed and written without reference to who is paying. See the Partners policy.
6. Handling community content
Fake reviews, paid reviews, brigading and broker-employee astroturfing are removed and the accounts banned. Verified-trader badges require proof of a funded account and are revoked if the evidence turns out to be fabricated.
7. Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us. Write to [email protected] with CORRECTION in the subject line, or use the support form and pick Wrong score.
We aim to review every correction request within five business days. Where a published verdict or notice turns out to be wrong, we change it and say what changed.
