TrueBroker is a free broker safety checker, and this is the check itself: paste a broker name or the website you were sent, and the same engine behind the app answers with evidence, not vibes.
What does one check consult?
Five sources in a single pass. The board: every broker we have reviewed and its verified official domains. The warning lists: the FCA and CySEC registers of unauthorised and clone firms, mirrored daily. Clone detection: the name and domain you paste, compared against every broker on the board for lookalike shapes. The domain record: when the website was registered and whether the registry has it flagged, because clone sites are almost always new. And the graveyard: brokers that ceased operating, so a dead firm answers as dead rather than as a stranger.
What does a result look like?
A verdict sticker and the reasons under it, each one a sentence you can act on. A genuine broker answers ON RECORD with a link to its review. A domain a regulator has named answers WARNING LISTED with the regulator’s own entry quoted. A lookalike of a real broker answers LOOKS LIKE A CLONE and points you at the real firm. A dead firm answers SHUT DOWN and routes to what happened. And a name we hold nothing on answers NOT ON RECORD, which is a reason to check harder, never a pass.

What does the legit check actually consult?
Five sources in one pass: the brokers we have reviewed and their official domains, the FCA and CySEC warning lists we mirror daily, clone detection against every board broker, the domain registry record and its age, and the register of brokers that shut down.
What does NOT ON RECORD mean?
It means we hold nothing on the name or domain: no review, no warning, no clone match. That is not a clean bill of health. Brand new names are how scams start, so treat it as a reason to check harder, not to relax.
Why would a real broker show a warning?
Regulators list clone entries under the brand they impersonate, so a genuine firm can appear beside warnings about its imitators. Read the reasons on the result: they say which domain the warning actually names.
