THE VERDICT, IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Exness is a well-established forex and CFD broker founded in 2008, serving over 190 countries with more than $4 trillion in monthly trading volume. While the broker holds prestigious FCA and CySEC licenses, these entities don't provide retail trading services as of 2025, meaning most clients trade through offshore entities in Seychelles or Mauritius. The platform offers competitive trading conditions with 120+ forex pairs, 35+ cryptocurrencies, spreads from 0.1 pips, and no deposit/withdrawal fees. However, the lack of regular bonuses, limited stock selection, and prohibition in major markets like the US, UK, and EU are notable limitations. The broker best suits experienced forex traders who understand leverage risks and prioritize competitive spreads over regulatory protection.

Overview

Established in 2008 and headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, Exness has evolved into a significant player in the global forex and CFD trading landscape. With operations spanning over 190 countries and processing over $4 trillion in monthly trading volume, the broker has built a substantial market presence. However, a critical consideration for potential clients is that while Exness holds prestigious licenses from the FCA (UK) and CySEC (Cyprus), these entities no longer provide retail trading services as of 2025, meaning most retail traders are serviced through offshore entities in Seychelles and Mauritius.

What a visitor in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam or Azerbaijan is actually shown

On 27 July 2026 we loaded exness.com through Bright Data with exits in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Azerbaijan. From all four the site returned the same thing on every content URL we tried: a sign-in wall of roughly 600 characters reading “Please sign in or register for full access to Exness content and services”, with nothing behind it. We tested the homepage, /accounts/, /trading-conditions/, /legal-documents/, /rewards/ and /contacts/ from Indonesia, and /accounts/ from Thailand, Vietnam and Azerbaijan. Every one returned the wall. It is localised — Indonesian for the Indonesian request, Vietnamese for the Vietnamese one, English for Thailand and Azerbaijan — so this is a deliberate page, not a failure.

The same /accounts/ URL requested from South Africa returned the full site: navigation, the four-entity footer, the standard risk warning and a country-block prompt. Exness is therefore choosing to show South East Asia nothing, not failing to serve it.

What that means for this section is blunt. No account table, no minimum deposit, no spread, no commission, no leverage figure and no risk warning of any kind is published to a visitor in those four countries before they register. The only text on the page besides the sign-in prompt is a footer naming three companies: Vanvest Limited, “registered and regulated by the Financial Services Commission of the Republic of Vanuatu under registration number 700276”; Exness (VG) Ltd (BVI registration 2032226, investment business licence SIBA/L/20/1133); and Exness (SC) Ltd (Seychelles registration 8423606-1, FSA licence SD025). Vanvest Limited appears on no Exness regulation page, and it is absent from the footer served to South Africa, which instead names Exness B.V. (Curaçao, CBCS licence 0003LSI) and Forexite Ltd (Belize registration 000022129, licence 9110312).

Everything below is what Exness publishes to visitors it lets in. We could not re-verify any of it from an Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese or Azerbaijani vantage, because the pages carrying it are gated in all four. Read it as the product Exness describes, not as the disclosure a South East Asian customer receives.

Exness runs five live account types, split into two families. Standard and Standard Cent sit under “Standard accounts”; Pro, Zero and Raw Spread sit under “Professional accounts”. All five are opened inside one Personal Area, and all five carry the same headline leverage setting of 1:Unlimited.

What each account costs

Account Minimum first deposit Spread from Commission Execution Margin call
Standard Not published; varies by payment method and region 0.2 pips None Market 60%
Standard Cent Not published; varies by payment method and region 0.3 pips None Market 60%
Pro From 200 USD, by region 0.1 pips None Instant 30%
Zero From 200 USD, by region 0.0 pips From 0.02 USD per lot, per side Market 30%
Raw Spread From 200 USD, by region 0.0 pips Up to 3.50 USD per lot, per side Market 30%

Read the commission column carefully. Both figures are charged per side, so a full round turn on Raw Spread costs up to 7.00 USD per lot, and on Zero from 0.04 USD per lot. Stop out is 0% on all five, rising to 100% during the daily break in stock trading. Hedged margin is 0% throughout, and minimum trade size is 0.01 lot.

Exness does not publish a minimum deposit for Standard or Standard Cent anywhere on its public site or in its Help Centre. Both articles say only “minimum deposit applicable; may vary based on payment method or geographic location”, and direct you to log in and open the My Accounts page to see the number. You therefore cannot find out what it will cost you to start before you have registered and handed over an email address and phone number. The 200 USD floor on the three professional accounts is published, and it is 200, not 500.

The leverage ladder is the important part

Every account page advertises 1:Unlimited. The Help Centre article on leverage, updated 27 February 2026, sets out what actually applies, and it is tied to your equity:

  • 0 to 4,999.99 USD equity: 1:Unlimited if eligible, otherwise 1:2000
  • 5,000 to 29,999.99 USD: 1:2000
  • 30,000 to 99,999.99 USD: 1:1000
  • 100,000 USD or more: 1:500

Eligibility for the unlimited setting is not automatic. Exness requires account equity below 5,000 USD and at least ten closed orders totalling a minimum of 5 lots (or 500 cent lots) across all your live accounts before the option appears in your settings. It applies only to forex majors and minors, DXY, USDCNH, HKDJPY, USDHKD, USDTHB, and gold and silver pairs. Exness also warns that its Stop Out Protection feature may be switched off on accounts set to unlimited leverage. Clause 3.3 of Part E of the Exness (SC) Ltd Client Agreement lets the firm cut leverage to 1:200 for the three hours before markets close ahead of weekends and holidays, and to raise margin around scheduled news. Clients onboarded by Exness (KE) Limited are capped at 1:400.

So the unlimited leverage is real, but it exists only on small accounts, on a restricted instrument list, after a trading-volume gate, outside weekend cut-off windows, and never under the group’s FCA or CySEC entities. It falls away the moment your account grows past 5,000 USD.

Standard Cent is a narrower product than it looks

Standard Cent quotes balances in cents, so a 5 USD deposit shows as 500 USC. One cent lot is 1,000 USD of notional, a hundredth of a standard lot. It is also restricted: roughly 30 symbols, mostly forex plus XAUUSD, XAGUSD, BTCUSD and ETHUSD, against the full book on the other accounts. Account currencies are limited to USC, EUC, GBC, CHC, AUC and CAC, and you may hold 10 MT4 and 20 MT5 cent accounts against 100 of each on the other types. Account suffixes identify the type on the platform: -m for Standard, -c for Standard Cent, -z or none for Zero, -r or none for Raw Spread, and no suffix for Pro.

Maximum position size is 200 lots between 07:00 and 20:59 GMT and 60 lots between 21:00 and 06:59 GMT, with per-instrument exceptions published on the account pages. Pro is the only account offering instant execution, and it switches to market execution if your account currency is USD, JPY, THB, CNY, IDR or VND. Zero’s advertised zero spread covers the top 30 instruments for about 95% of the day and other instruments for about 50% of the day, by Exness’s own footnote.

Deposits & Withdrawals

One thing comes before all of this. A visitor in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam or Azerbaijan cannot read it. On 27 July 2026 exness.com served all four vantages a sign-in wall, and that included /legal-documents/ — so the Client Agreement that sets the funding rules is itself behind the registration step. The finding below, that Exness publishes no payment methods, minimum amounts, limits or processing times, understates the position in those four countries, where it publishes nothing at all about money before you register.

Exness’s Help Centre states plainly, in an article last updated 18 April 2025: “No, we do not charge deposit or withdrawal processing fees. Certain payment methods and banks may impose these fees.” The homepage goes further and says Exness covers third-party transaction costs. On the evidence we could reach, the broker’s own fee for moving money is zero.

Two published carve-outs sit against that. The footnote on the Deposits and withdrawals page reads: “Deposit fees may be applied to specific payment methods to maintain the integrity of our payment processes.” And the General withdrawal rules article reserves the right “to investigate, cancel, and/or impose fees/charges on any withdrawal requests from trading accounts with no trading activity” — funding an account and then asking for the money back without trading is the case in which a charge can appear. We could not reconcile the flat “no fees” answer with the deposit-fee footnote from any public page.

What Exness does not publish

There is no public list of payment methods, minimum amounts, limits or processing times. All of it lives behind the login: methods depend on your registered region, your verification status and provider availability, and each one displays its own processing time, fees and limits inside the Personal Area. Clause 7.1 of Part B of the Client Agreement says the same about minimum deposits and withdrawal commissions. That means you cannot compare Exness’s funding costs against another broker before opening an account.

The rules that catch people out

  • No third-party or anonymous payments. The payment account must carry your exact full legal name, or the withdrawal fails.
  • You must withdraw by the method you deposited with; where several were used, Exness applies proportionality.
  • The deposit currency must be used for the withdrawal, and exchange rates apply at the moment of the transaction.
  • A card must have completed a successful deposit before it can receive a withdrawal.
  • The most you can withdraw at any moment equals your account’s free margin, not its balance.
  • If a deposit goes missing, the Client Agreement puts the cost of the investigation on you.

Deposits can be started 24 hours a day, seven days a week; anything not instant is processed within 24 hours, and Exness says over 98% of withdrawals are approved automatically. Client money is held in segregated bank accounts, but clauses 1.5 to 1.7 of Part B are worth reading: Exness may pass your money to a third party inside or outside Seychelles, that party may hold it in an omnibus account alongside other clients’ money, and on its insolvency your funds may be treated differently than they would be in Seychelles. Exness disclaims liability for that third party’s solvency.

Special Offers

The Rewards page quoted below is one of the URLs exness.com gated from us. Requested from Indonesia on 27 July 2026 it returned the same 600-character sign-in wall as the homepage, so the “no bonuses” statement, the loyalty tiers and the free-VPS terms are not disclosed to an Indonesian visitor before registration. The Bonus Terms and Conditions documents sit on /legal-documents/, which is gated from the same vantage. We read both from a vantage Exness serves; a reader in Jakarta, Bangkok, Hanoi or Baku cannot.

Exness answers the bonus question directly on its Rewards page: “No, we do not offer any bonuses, such as a welcome bonus or a deposit bonus.” That matches what we saw across every page we fetched, and it is a point in the broker’s favour.

The legal documents do not quite match the marketing. Exness publishes a Bonus Terms and Conditions document for each of its four offshore entities, and the Exness (SC) Ltd version, dated 30 September 2024, reserves the right “to offer various Bonus Programs to its Clients from time to time”, limited by jurisdiction, account type or other criteria, at the firm’s sole discretion. The same document states that bonus funds “can be deducted from the Trading Account at any time without prior notification of the Client”, and that Exness may cancel a bonus programme and claw back what it has granted “without cause or prior notification”. So there is no bonus on offer today, but the machinery is in place and the terms are one-sided.

What is on offer

  • Exness Rewards — a tiered loyalty scheme, described as “available for selected clients only”. Published benefits vary by status and region and include priority support, a dedicated account manager, market insights and one-to-one sessions with an Exness market strategist. No qualifying volume, tier names or thresholds are published.
  • Free VPS — Windows Server 2019 64-bit, 2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM and 50 GB of disk, sited near the Exness trade servers in Amsterdam, Dubai, Seoul, Singapore, Miami and Johannesburg. Qualification depends on account balance and/or traded volume, but Exness publishes the criteria only inside the Personal Area, so we cannot state the threshold.
  • Swap-free — applied by default rather than as a promotion, on a published instrument list, and revocable on the basis of your trading pattern.

There is no rebate scheme, cashback programme or deposit match documented anywhere on the site.

How to Trade

Read this section knowing where it comes from. From Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Azerbaijan on 27 July 2026, exness.com answered every content URL we tried with a sign-in wall, /trading-conditions/ included. The platform comparison, the execution model, the 0% stop out and the swap-free instrument list below are all published — but not to those four countries, where none of it is visible until you have handed over an email address and a password. The registration page discloses none of it either.

Exness supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on desktop, mobile and web, plus two of its own builds: the browser-based Exness Terminal and the Exness Trade app for iOS and Android. There is no desktop application of its own.

What the platforms actually give you

Feature Exness Trade app Exness Terminal (web) MT5 mobile

The Exness Trade app needs Android 6.0 or iOS 15.0; MT5 mobile needs Android 5.0 or iOS 15.0; the Terminal needs Chrome 92, Edge 92, Firefox 104, Opera 78, Safari 15 on macOS or Safari 16 on iOS. Expert Advisors run on MetaTrader only, which is why the free VPS is tied to MT4 and MT5 rather than to the Exness platforms. MT5 mobile is the only one of the three offering buy stop limit and sell stop limit orders; the other two cover market, buy, sell, buy stop, sell stop, buy limit, sell limit, take profit and stop loss.

Execution, margin and stop out

Pro accounts use instant execution, where a price move during processing produces a requote and you get three seconds to accept or reject it, per the definition in the Client Agreement. Standard, Standard Cent, Zero and Raw Spread use market execution with no requotes. Exness is the counterparty to every trade: the Key Facts Statement confirms its CFDs are traded over the counter, are not listed on any exchange, and can only be closed with Exness.

Stop out is set at 0% across all account types, which is genuinely unusual, and Exness compares it against competitor levels of 15%, 20% and 50%. Margin call is 60% on Standard accounts and 30% on the professional ones. Stop Out Protection, a proprietary feature that delays or avoids a stop out during spread widening, is layered on top, but it comes with three published caveats: availability is decided by Exness’s own models, it may be disabled if your strategy leans on it, and it is not supported at all for clients registered with Exness (KE) Limited in Kenya or Exness (JO) Limited in Jordan.

Swaps and the swap-free condition

Swaps run daily at 22:00 terminal time in winter and 21:00 in summer, excluding Saturday and Sunday, with a triple charge on Wednesday night for forex and on Thursday night for USDCAD. Amounts below 0.01 units of your account currency are not credited. Forex trades Sunday 21:05 GMT to Friday 20:59 GMT.

Swap-free is the default rather than an add-on, and covers forex majors, a long list of minors, USDZAR, USDTHB, XAUUSD, XAUAUD, XAUEUR, XAGUSD, XPTUSD, USOIL, UKOIL, all cryptocurrencies and all indices. Swaps are charged on other metals, energies, remaining minors, exotics and stocks. The condition worth knowing is that Exness measures your behaviour and can withdraw the status: its Help Centre states that if you do not trade mostly during trading hours and regularly hold large numbers of orders open overnight, you may become unqualified. The benefit is therefore withdrawn from precisely the traders who would use it most. Separately, clause 9.1 of Part E of the Client Agreement says the Islamic swap-free accounts may carry administration fees on open positions, applied regardless of how long a position is held.

Opening an Account

Registration itself is short. Exness lists three steps: click Register, complete the form and tick the declaration, then enter your Personal Area. The Help Centre says the details that matter are an active email address and a mobile number that works in your country of residence.

Two choices at this stage are effectively permanent. Your registered region is fixed when the account is created and cannot be changed afterwards; it decides which Exness entity holds your money, which payment methods you see, and which leverage and stop-out rules apply. Your security type — phone, email, or TOTP where available — governs the six-digit code required for every account action, and only one can be active at a time. Exness also issues an alphanumeric Support PIN used to identify you when you contact support.

Verification

The account only becomes fully operational once you supply an Economic Profile, proof of identity and proof of address. Exness states document verification can take up to 24 hours, and asks you to raise a support ticket if there is no update after that.

Requirement Proof of identity Proof of address
Accepted documents International passport, national ID, driving licence Utility bill, recent bank statement, local tax bill, bank reference letter
Age or date rule Holder must be 18 or over; document valid for at least 3 months from upload Issued within the past six months
Country rule May be issued by any country where Exness accepts clients Must be issued in the country registered to the account
Image rules All four edges visible, both sides if multi-page, legible, .jpg .bmp .png or .pdf, under 50 MB

A South African national living permanently in Colombia may use identity documents from either country, per Exness’s own worked example, but the address document must come from the country of registration. Exness adds that it does not accept identity documents issued in the countries where its services are restricted, and that this applies to nationals as well as residents — so a passport from a restricted country can block an application made from somewhere else entirely.

After you are verified

You may hold up to 100 live MT4 and 100 live MT5 accounts in one Personal Area on Standard, Pro, Zero and Raw Spread, and 10 MT4 and 20 MT5 on Standard Cent. Demo accounts are free and available across account types, and on demo the unlimited leverage option is always visible, though it still only takes effect below 5,000 USD of equity.

One thing worth doing on day one: read the footer of your Personal Area. Exness’s own About Exness article tells clients that is where to find “your applicable entity and jurisdiction”. Given that the group runs at least twelve entities and the regulator you can complain to differs entirely between them, that footer is the most consequential line of text in the product.

Negative Balance Protection

The protection described here is a term of the Exness (SC) Ltd Client Agreement, and that document lives on exness.com/legal-documents/ — a page that returned a sign-in wall to Indonesia, and which sits on a site that returned the same wall to Thailand, Vietnam and Azerbaijan on 27 July 2026. A prospective client in those countries cannot read the negative balance clause, or the exception to it, before opening an account. The sign-up page at my.exness.com links to a “Risk Disclosure and Warning Notice” and a “Key Facts Statement” and asks you to confirm you have read them, but the page itself states only that “traders [are] likely to incur losses exceeding the potential for profits” — no numeric loss rate, and no mention of negative balance protection.

Negative balance protection is defined in the Exness (SC) Ltd Client Agreement, version 24 July 2026, as a policy ensuring clients “will not lose more money than deposited if Client’s account goes into negative because of Clients’ trading activity”. The mechanism is described in the Help Centre article updated 23 June 2026: if a stop out leaves the account negative, Exness runs an automatic reset to zero, logged in your platform history as a D-null operation. Exness’s worked example is a 100 USD balance closed out at a 150 USD loss, leaving minus 50 USD, which is reset to zero.

The gap Exness documents itself

The reset is not a general guarantee, and Exness sets out the exception in the same article. A null operation only runs when every order on the account has been closed by stop out and the balance is negative. It cannot be triggered manually. And it does not cover an account with negative equity but a positive balance, which is a state Stop Out Protection can create by delaying the stop out.

Exness’s own figures for that case: a 1,000 USD balance holding a fully hedged 1 lot buy and 1 lot sell on XAUUSD nets minus 1,050 USD, giving equity of minus 50 USD while the balance is still positive. Deposit 100 USD into that account and no null operation occurs, so your new balance of 1,100 USD carries equity of 50 USD and you have lost 50 USD of the deposit. Exness advises waiting for the reset, or opening a fresh account rather than funding the damaged one.

Two further limits. The footnote to the Exness Key Facts Statement states that negative balance protection “does not apply for the B2B business”, which is the FCA-authorised and CySEC-authorised side of the group. And the protection is a contractual policy of an entity licensed in Seychelles, not a statutory rule, so it stands on Exness’s own solvency rather than on a compensation scheme. Exness’s Compensation Fund page describes membership of the Financial Commission, a private dispute-resolution body whose fund pays up to 20,000 EUR per client and only where a member refuses to honour a Financial Commission judgment. It expressly does not cover trading losses, and it does not apply to a broker’s whole client base in an insolvency.

Prohibited Countries

Exness does not publish a definitive list of excluded countries. What it publishes is a footer exclusion, a sanctions clause in the Client Agreement, a pop-up that names your own country back at you if you are blocked — and, we can now add, a second and shorter exclusion list on the registration page itself. Piecing those together:

Named on exness.com’s own footer

“The entities above do not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus and others.” We re-read that sentence on 27 July 2026 in the footer served to South Africa, and it is unchanged. The Kenyan site carries a shorter version, listing the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe and the United Kingdom, without Russia or Belarus.

The registration page names a different list

The sign-up page at my.exness.com/accounts/sign-up, fetched from Indonesia, Vietnam and Azerbaijan on 27 July 2026 and byte-for-byte identical from all three, carries this instead: “Exness does not offer services to residents of certain jurisdictions including the USA, Iran, North Korea, the European Union, the United Kingdom and others.” Canada, Russia and Belarus are missing from it. The page a South East Asian visitor actually reaches — because the marketing site is gated to them — therefore names a shorter exclusion list than the marketing site does. Both end in “and others”, so neither is a list you can rely on.

Named in the Client Agreement’s sanctions clause

The Exness (SC) Ltd Client Agreement of 24 July 2026 refuses anyone located, organised or resident in a territory under comprehensive or territorial sanctions, “including but not limited to Crimea (including Sevastopol), Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria”, and anyone appearing on UNSC, OFAC, EU, HMT or OFSI lists. Verification is also blocked at the document stage: Exness states it does not accept identity documents issued in restricted countries, and that this applies to nationals as well as residents. That document sits on /legal-documents/, which is gated from Indonesia, so it is not readable before registration there.

Europe and the UK are excluded twice over

The exclusion of the UK and the EEA is not only a footer policy. Exness (UK) Ltd holds FRN 730729 with every one of its five permissions limited to Professional clients and Eligible Counterparties, so it has no permission to serve a retail client. Exness (Cy) Ltd states on its own site that it does not serve retail clients either. The register also shows Exness (Cy) Ltd, FRN 606828, as “No longer authorised” in the UK with effect from 31 December 2020. There is no retail Exness in Britain or the European Union, from any entity.

What we were served, by country

Combining our July 2026 sweeps, exness.com produces four distinct pages by IP country:

Requested from What was served Entity named Risk warning
South Africa, Kenya Full retail trading site Exness (SC) Ltd, Exness B.V., Exness (VG) Ltd, Forexite Ltd Qualitative; 82.18% only on exness.ke
United Kingdom B2B site at exness.uk, retail refused Exness (UK) Ltd, Exness (Cy) Ltd n/a — no retail offer
Germany Corporate site at exness.org, no trading offer None named n/a — no trading offer
Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, plus Singapore, India and the UAE Sign-in wall only — no content on any URL tested Vanvest Limited, Exness (VG) Ltd, Exness (SC) Ltd None at all

Thailand and Azerbaijan were unreachable in our earlier sweep and are now confirmed: both are served the same sign-in wall as Indonesia and Vietnam. That page names Vanvest Limited, “registered and regulated by the Financial Services Commission of the Republic of Vanuatu under registration number 700276” — an entity that appears nowhere on Exness’s own Regulation page, in no other country’s footer, and which we could not verify, because the VFSC does not publish a searchable licensee list we can reach. The registration page a visitor from those countries is pushed to does not name Vanvest at all; it says “You are registering with Exness, regulated by the Seychelles FSA.”

Customer Support

The Contacts page described below is gated in South East Asia. Requested from Indonesia on 27 July 2026, exness.com/contacts/ returned the sign-in wall — so the language-cover table, the ticket route and the 24-hour response undertaking are not visible to an Indonesian visitor at all. The one Exness property that did answer from Indonesia was the Help Centre at help.exness.com, which returned a full Indonesian-language index. Its article links, though, point away from the Exness domain: the Indonesian index links to help.extrading.guide, help.exnesstrading.market and get.exness.help. Article deep links on help.exness.com itself resolved back to the index from that vantage, so we could not read individual articles from Indonesia.

Exness publishes no telephone number and no support email address on its Contacts page. The two routes it offers there are the Help Centre and a ticket raised from the Support Hub inside your Personal Area, which it undertakes to answer within 24 hours. The homepage and the Rewards page both advertise answers “via phone, live chat or email”, so phone support exists, but you have to be registered before you can find the number.

Language cover, as published

The Contacts page states support runs in 14 languages, with 24 hours a day, seven days a week cover in English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu. The remaining languages are not round the clock, and the schedule embedded in that page shows how uneven the gap is:

Language Published cover
English, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu 24/7
Bengali 02:00 to 20:00, seven days
French, Swahili Seven days, reduced hours Saturday and Sunday
Indonesian, Portuguese Monday to Friday only
Spanish Monday to Friday, plus Saturday from 09:00
Korean 03:00 to 11:00, Monday to Friday only

Korean is the thinnest at eight hours on weekdays. Exness is not consistent with its own figure either: the Contacts page and the Trade app both say 14 languages, while the forex page says 15, and the site language switcher offers 11. The Help Centre is published in 15 languages including Japanese and Uzbek.

Contact points we could verify on registers

  • [email protected] — printed on the Exness (SC) Ltd Client Agreement and Bonus Terms
  • [email protected] and +248 4346767 — published for Exness (SC) Ltd on the Seychelles FSA register
  • +44 2033754207, 107 Cheapside, London EC2V 6DN — published for Exness (UK) Ltd on the FCA register, which is the B2B entity and not a retail support line
  • [email protected] — published for Exness (Cy) Ltd on the CySEC register

Live chat is built into the Exness Trade app in 14 languages. It is not built into the Exness Terminal, so web users go through the Personal Area ticket system. Support asks for your Support PIN, a unique alphanumeric code Exness generates to confirm you are the account holder before it discusses anything sensitive.

If support cannot resolve it

Each entity publishes its own Complaints Procedure for Clients, and Exness is a member of the Financial Commission, an external dispute-resolution body. Its Compensation Fund covers judgments the broker refuses to honour, capped at 20,000 EUR per client, and is financed by 10% of members’ monthly dues. Which regulator you can escalate to beyond that depends entirely on the entity that onboarded you: the Seychelles FSA, the Central Bank of Curacao and Sint Maarten, the BVI FSC or the Belize FSC for exness.com clients, the Capital Markets Authority for Kenyan clients, and the FSCA for South African clients.

  6. Negative Balance Protection: All clients protected from losing more than deposited funds

  10. Platform Variety: MT4, MT5, proprietary web terminal, and mobile apps available

Conclusion

Exness is a real, large and well-documented broker, and the checks bear that out. Exness (UK) Ltd is Authorised under FRN 730729, effective 1 September 2016, Companies House 08861481, holds permission to hold and control client money, and carries no disciplinary history. [CySEC] Exness (Cy) Ltd holds licence 178/12, granted 5 September 2012, company number 293057. [FSA Seychelles] Exness (SC) Ltd is listed on the Seychelles FSA securities dealer register, and the register publishes exness.com as its website, which is the strongest identity evidence a free source offers. None of that is available to an operation running a scam.

But the licences you can check are not the ones you would trade under

Every one of Exness (UK) Ltd’s five permissions is restricted to Professional clients and Eligible Counterparties. A retail client is not merely unwelcome; the firm has no permission to take one. Exness (Cy) Ltd says the same on exness.eu, and its UK registration, FRN 606828, has read “No longer authorised” since 31 December 2020. Exness (MU) Ltd in Mauritius, licence GB20025294, states on Exness’s own Regulation page that it “does not currently provide any retail services”.

If you open an account through exness.com, your counterparty will be Exness (SC) Ltd in Seychelles, Exness B.V. in Curacao, Exness (VG) Ltd in the BVI or Forexite Ltd in Belize. There is no FSCS, no Investor Compensation Fund and no statutory scheme behind any of them. What there is instead is membership of the Financial Commission, a private dispute-resolution body whose fund pays a maximum of 20,000 EUR per client, only where Exness refuses to honour a judgment, and never for trading losses.

The number Exness only prints where a regulator makes it

[CMA Kenya] exness.ke, operated by Exness (KE) Limited under CMA licence 162, carries the disclosure “82.18% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading Online Forex/CFDs with this provider”. We fetched exness.com from nine countries and found no percentage on any of them. Same broker, same products, one figure printed under the one regulator that requires it. If you are weighing an account, 82.18% is the number to weigh, and it is Exness’s own.

What is genuinely good, and what to watch

The trading conditions are strong on their own terms: 0% stop out across every account, spreads published from 0.0 pips on Zero and Raw Spread, commission of up to 3.50 USD per lot per side on Raw Spread, no broker fee on deposits or withdrawals, over 98% of withdrawals automated, swap-free by default on majors, gold, indices and crypto, and 24/7 support in seven languages. Segregated client accounts and PCI DSS compliance are documented rather than asserted.

Against that: the minimum deposit for the two cheapest accounts is not published anywhere public; neither are the payment methods, limits or funding fees, which sit behind the login. Swap-free status can be withdrawn on the basis of your trading pattern. Negative balance protection does not cover negative equity on a positive balance, a state Exness’s own Stop Out Protection can create, and its documented example costs the client 50 USD. The advertised 1:Unlimited leverage applies only below 5,000 USD of equity, on forex plus gold and silver, after a ten-order volume gate, and drops to 1:200 before weekends. And a page served to visitors in Singapore, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and the UAE names Vanvest Limited of Vanuatu, an entity absent from Exness’s own Regulation page.

One last thing worth knowing before you search for Exness online: the FCA register carries an entry for “Exnessfxcapital” marked Unauthorised firm. It is not Exness, and anything trading under that name is not covered by FRN 730729.

Exness suits an experienced CFD trader outside the UK, EEA, US and Canada who understands that the counterparty will be a Seychelles, Curacao, BVI or Belize company, who values 0% stop out and tight published spreads, and who accepts that recourse stops at a private 20,000 EUR fund. It does not suit anyone who needs statutory compensation cover, anyone who wants to know the cost of funding an account before registering, or anyone drawn in by the word unlimited without reading the four conditions attached to it.
