CFD broker with a UK-only FCA licence and a lower-tier Comoros licence for other clients

AD DISCLOSURE: IF YOU OPEN AN ACCOUNT THROUGH THIS LINK WE MAY EARN A COMMISSION. IT NEVER MOVES THE SCORE. HOW THIS WORKS
TIOmarkets is a CFD broker with an FCA licence (Ref. 488900) for its UK entity and a Comoros MWALI licence (T2023224) for its offshore entity. Fees are competitive, at $3 round turn on EURUSD, and it offers MT4, MT5, and TradingView. The biggest reservation: FCA cover is UK-only, leaving most clients under the lower-tier Comoros licence, with an unresolved Seychelles/St Vincent discrepancy.
Each criterion is scored 1 to 10 from primary sources. The overall score is their unweighted mean. How scoring works.

Overview
TrueBroker is a free broker safety checker, and this page is our review of TIOmarkets, scored 6.9 out of 10 across regulation, fees, platform, support and reviews. Our previous review of this broker scored it 6.2 out of 10; this review restates the score from the evidence we gathered this time, not from any change in the firm itself, because the scoring criteria and the underlying evidence are both different from the last pass.
Who actually runs TIOmarkets
TIOmarkets is not one company but a brand run across at least four legal entities. The firm’s own about pages name T.I.O. Group Holdings Ltd, registered in Cyprus as HE 379701, as the ultimate owner of the brand. Underneath it sit three trading entities: TIO Markets Ltd, registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and licensed via the Comoros Union; TIO Markets UK Ltd (Tio Markets UK Limited), which the firm’s pages say accepts UK-resident clients only; and Trade i.o Ltd, registered in the Seychelles. Each entity is licensed by a different regulator, and the firm’s own legal disclaimer puts the burden on the client to work out which entity, and which protections, apply to them: it states that clients are responsible for ensuring they register with the appropriate entity of the TIOmarkets brand according to the laws and regulations of their jurisdiction.
TIOmarkets’s licences, checked against the registers
We searched eight public registers directly and ran a positive control on each first, so an empty result would mean absence rather than a broken search. FRN 488900 is held by TIO Markets UK Limited on the FCA Financial Services Register register, status Authorised, effective 26/08/2009, and the FCA register also shows the linked Companies House number 06592025. That licence covers the UK only: the firm’s own pages route UK residents to this entity and nobody else. TIO Markets Ltd holds License No. T2023224 on the Mwali International Services Authority (Comoros Union) register, status Active, issued 06/04/2023. Trade i.o Ltd appears on the Seychelles Capital Markets regulated entities register‘s list of regulated securities dealers; the register does not publish licence numbers, so the firm’s own quoted SD 167 is the firm’s figure rather than a number we could check against the register, though the entity and its permission are confirmed. We also confirmed three company registrations that are not financial licences: T.I.O. Group Holdings Ltd in Cyprus (HE379701), Tio Markets UK Limited at Companies House (06592025), and Trade i.o Ltd in the Seychelles company registry (C810608, printed by the firm as 810608-1). TIO Markets Ltd also appears in the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Grenadines registry‘s company search under registration 24986 IBC 2018, status Active, but that register records companies rather than licensing forex or CFD brokers, and this corrects an earlier claim from our earlier review that this entity was regulated by the FSA of St Vincent and the Grenadines; the firm’s own current pages instead cite the Comoros licence for this entity.
The firm’s own about page also sets out what each licence means for client money: only TIO Markets UK Ltd clients are stated to receive “FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client,” while clients of the Comoros-licensed and Seychelles-licensed entities are told only that funds are held in segregated accounts, with no compensation scheme named.
A warning worth flagging before anything else
We searched 1,438 warning-list entries mirrored from the FCA, CySEC and the FSC Mauritius, and TIOmarkets does not appear on any of them. One other site does, and it is not this firm: the FCA register lists TIO Market Trading/ Tiomarkets-trading.com at the domain tiomarkets-trading.com as Unauthorised and names it a clone of the authorised firm. Anyone searching for TIOmarkets should check they are on tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk, not that lookalike domain.
What TIOmarkets charges, and where the fee pages disagree with themselves
The firm’s fee page states deposits and withdrawals are free above USD 20, with a USD 25 processing fee if the client funded the account without trading, withdraws less than USD 20, or withdraws in crypto, and a USD 30 monthly dormancy fee if an account has no open positions and no trades in the preceding three months. Account minimums run from $20 on Nano and Standard up to $250 on Raw and $1,000 on VIP Black, per the firm’s account comparison page. That same page, however, gives Nano a commission of $6 per lot and Standard $0, while the separate Trading Fees page states the reverse, $0 for Nano and $5 for Standard, and its own worked example for the Raw account contradicts its own commission table for that account. A reader cannot get a single consistent per-lot commission figure from the firm’s own published pages.
Leverage, bonuses and other terms worth reading before signing up
Standard accounts are marketed with “unlimited” leverage, but the account comparison page’s own footnote restricts that to MT5 only, not MT4, and bans Expert Advisors on any account running unlimited leverage. Elsewhere, the firm states a margin stop-out level of 40% for accounts on 1:2000 leverage, and advertises negative balance protection as an account feature. The firm’s fees page also describes a 30% Loyalty Deposit Bonus that cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin, shrinks proportionally whenever the client withdraws funds, is capped at USD 3,000, excludes accounts on 1:2000 leverage or higher, and which TIOmarkets reserves the right to end… at any time.
What changed in our score
This review’s regulation score of 6 reflects a structure where three separate regulators are confirmed against their registers, but only the FCA licence carries a UK-focused scope and a named compensation scheme, while the Comoros and Seychelles licences carry segregated funds only and the Saint Vincent entity turned out on checking to hold a company registration rather than the financial licence an earlier review had attributed to it. The fees score of 9 and platform score of 7.7 reflect the fee waivers above $20 and the spread of MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the firm’s own branded mobile app across account types, set against the commission-table contradictions and bonus conditions described above. Support scored 6 and reviews scored 5.8. The 6.9 overall is this review’s own figure, built from the current evidence, not a judgement that the firm has gotten better or worse since our 6.2 score.

Key Takeaways
Why the score moved to 6.9
Our previous review scored TIOmarkets 6.2/10. This review scores it 6.9/10. The criteria and the evidence behind them both changed since the last pass, so the move is our assessment being rewritten from current evidence, not a change in the firm’s conduct. The evidence below explains where the current scores land: fees at 9, platform at 7.7, regulation and support both at 6, and reviews at 5.8.
Regulation is real but narrow, and split across three entities
The FCA register confirms Ref. 488900, held by TIO Markets UK Limited, status Authorised, effective 26/08/2009, against Companies House number 06592025. That licence only covers UK-resident clients; the firm’s own about pages route everyone else to TIO Markets Ltd under Comoros Mwali International Services Authority licence T2023224, or to Trade i.o Ltd in the Seychelles. The Mwali register confirms T2023224 as active since 06/04/2023. The Seychelles FSA lists Trade i.o. Ltd as a regulated securities dealer on its capital-markets register, though that register publishes no licence numbers, so the firm’s own claimed SD 167 remains unverified by the register itself even though the entity and its permission are confirmed. Companies House, the Cyprus registry (HE 379701 for the ultimate holding company, T.I.O. Group Holdings Ltd), the Seychelles company registry (C810608), and the St Vincent and the Grenadines FSA entity search (registration 24986, active, incorporated 2018-09-12) all confirm company existence, not financial authorisation. Only UK clients get a compensation scheme: the firm’s own page on its licences states FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client applies to TIO Markets UK Ltd clients only, while Comoros- and Seychelles-onboarded clients are told only that funds are segregated, with no compensation scheme named.
What TIOmarkets charges to withdraw
The firm’s fee page sets deposit and withdrawal fees at zero once the amount is USD 20 or more. That “zero” carries exceptions in the same page: a USD 25 processing fee applies if a client funded the account without trading, withdraws less than USD 20, or withdraws in crypto. There is also a USD 30 per month dormancy fee for accounts with no open positions and no trades in the preceding three months. Account minimums start at $20 for Nano, Standard and Raw is $250, and VIP Black is $1,000, all per the account comparison page.
Commission figures do not agree with each other
The firm’s own Trading Fees page gives commission as Nano $0, Standard $5, Raw $2, VIP Black $0. The Account Comparison page on the same site gives Nano $6/lot, Standard $0, Raw $6/lot, VIP Black $0, a direct contradiction on three of four tiers. The Trading Fees page then contradicts its own table: its worked example for the Raw account shows a round-turn 1.0 lot costing $6, not the $2 the table on that same page states. A reader cannot get a single confirmed commission figure for any account from the firm’s published pages.
The Loyalty Deposit Bonus comes with conditions that undercut the headline
The bonus FAQ on the firm’s fees page states the 30% Loyalty Deposit Bonus cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin, and that when funds are transferred out of the Standard account, a proportional amount of the bonus is deducted. The bonus terms on the same page cap it at USD 3,000 or currency equivalent, exclude Standard accounts on 1:2000 leverage or higher, and reserve the right for TIOmarkets to end the promotion at any time.
Platform and market access
MT4 and MT5 are both offered, with MT4 available on Standard, Raw and VIP Black but not Nano, per the platforms page, while MT5 is available across all tiers including Nano-only access. The account comparison page markets “Unlimited Leverage” for the Standard account, but its own footnote restricts that to MT5 only, excludes MT4, and bans Expert Advisors on any account running unlimited leverage. The firm’s markets page lists forex, indices, commodities, 800+ stocks with a further 650+ announced, cryptocurrencies, fixed income and futures, plus a branded mobile app carrying integrated TradingView charts. That app is distributed through the Samsung Galaxy Store and Aptoide in addition to the App Store and Google Play, a distribution footprint worth flagging for anyone checking app authenticity before installing.
A warning worth repeating: this is not the only TIOmarkets on the internet
We searched 1,438 warning-list entries mirrored from CySEC, the FCA and FSC Mauritius, and TIOmarkets appears on none of them. One other site does appear on those lists under a near-identical name: the FCA register names TIO Market Trading/ Tiomarkets-trading.com at the domain tiomarkets-trading.com as a clone of this authorised firm, status Unauthorised. That is a separate, unauthorised site impersonating the broker under review, not a mark against TIOmarkets itself, and readers typing the name into a search engine should check they land on tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk.
Support and jurisdiction burden
The firm’s contact page states live chat is available 24/7 with average response times of seconds, rising to up to one minute during busy periods, alongside email addresses split by entity (support@tiomarkets.com for the Comoros and Seychelles entities, support@tiomarkets.uk for the UK entity) and a callback form reviewed during business hours. The site-wide legal disclaimer places the burden on the client to work out which of the three differently regulated entities they should be registering with according to their own jurisdiction’s laws, without a published country-eligibility list to check against on the pages we fetched.
Licenses & Regulation
TIOmarkets is not one regulated entity, it is three, and which one signs a client up decides what protection that client gets. We checked eight public registers directly, including a positive control on each before treating any of them as clean, and we read the firm’s own about and legal pages rather than a summary of them.
Which TIOmarkets entity a client actually gets
The firm’s own about pages route UK residents to TIO Markets UK Ltd and route everyone else to either TIO Markets Ltd (registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, licensed via Comoros) or Trade i.o Ltd (Seychelles). The site-wide legal disclaimer puts the burden on the client to work out which entity applies to their jurisdiction, and states that not all products are available everywhere. There is a fourth name in the structure, T.I.O. Group Holdings Ltd, which sits above the brand as its Cyprus-registered owner rather than as a broker itself.
TIO Markets UK Ltd and the FCA
The FCA register confirms FRN 488900 as held by TIO Markets UK Limited, status Authorised, effective 26 August 2009, and cross-referenced to Companies House number 06592025. Companies House itself confirms company 06592025 as an active company registration, which is not the same thing as a financial-services permission. Critically, this licence covers the UK only: the firm’s own pages say TIO Markets UK Ltd accepts UK-resident clients and nobody else, and the firm’s contract terms state that only clients of this entity receive “FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client.” Clients onboarded through the other two entities are told they get “segregated client funds” and no compensation scheme is named for them.
TIO Markets Ltd and the Comoros licence
The Mwali International Services Authority register in Comoros lists TIO Markets Ltd as an authorised brokerage company under licence T2023224, issued 6 April 2023, status Active. Separately, the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines FSA entity search shows TIO Markets Ltd. under registration number 24986, incorporated 12 September 2018, status Active, registered agent Wilfred Services Ltd. The SVG FSA registers companies rather than licensing forex or CFD brokers, so that entry confirms the company exists, not that it holds a financial licence there. An earlier version of this review carried a claim that the SVG FSA itself regulates this entity; the broker’s own current pages instead point to the Comoros licence for this entity and make no mention of an SVG financial licence, so that earlier claim is not corroborated by what we read.
Trade i.o Ltd and the Seychelles licence
The Seychelles FSA’s capital-markets register lists Trade i.o. Ltd as a regulated securities dealer, which confirms the entity and its permission. The register does not publish licence numbers, so the firm’s own claimed number, SD 167, remains the firm’s figure rather than one we could check against the register. This entry corrects an earlier version of this review, which had treated the entity as unlisted: that was a fault in how we joined the entity’s name strings for the search, not an absence on the Seychelles register, and it is worth saying so because a false negative in either direction would have been unfair to the firm. The Seychelles company registry separately confirms Trade i.o Ltd as company C810608, industry Financial Services, though the registry publishes no status or incorporation date and, like the others, confirms a company rather than a licence.
Cyprus and the group holding company
The Cyprus Registrar of Companies confirms T.I.O. Group Holdings Ltd as HE 379701, a limited company registered 7 February 2018, status Active. This is the group’s holding entity above the three brokers, on a company registry rather than a financial regulator, and it carries no trading permission of its own.
What the warning lists show
We searched 1,438 warning-list entries mirrored from CySEC, the FCA, and the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, and TIOmarkets appears on none of them. That is a genuine finding, not just an absence: we ran a positive control against a firm known to be listed before relying on a clean result. One name in that same search is not TIOmarkets: the FCA register names TIO Market Trading/ Tiomarkets-trading.com as a clone of the authorised firm, status Unauthorised, at the lookalike domain tiomarkets-trading.com. A prospective client searching for TIOmarkets and landing on that domain is not dealing with any of the three entities above, and the FCA’s own register is where that distinction is drawn.
Score
Our previous review scored TIOmarkets 6.2 out of 10 overall; this review scores it 6.9. That move is ours, from applying updated criteria to current evidence, not a claim that the firm’s regulatory standing changed. Within this section specifically, the fix to our own Seychelles search, which had wrongly shown Trade i.o Ltd as absent from the FSA register when it was listed the whole time, changes what this review can say about that entity from what an earlier pass could say. Regulation still scores 6 out of 10 here: the FCA licence is real but covers UK clients only, the Comoros and Seychelles licences apply outside that market, and the compensation-scheme gap between the UK entity and the other two is stated in the firm’s own terms rather than inferred.
How to Trade
TIOmarkets runs four core live tiers, plus Islamic, copy-trading, PAMM and investment variants, and the tier a client picks decides both the cost of a trade and which platform they can put it on. The firm’s account comparison page sets the terms out like this: Nano needs $20 or the equivalent, spreads “from” 0.6 pips, a $6 per lot commission, a minimum trade size of 0.001 lots, leverage up to 1:500 on request, and MT5 only, no MT4. Standard also opens at $20, spreads “from” 1.1 pips, no commission on the headline table (the same page’s footnote adds a $6-per-lot charge on stocks), a 0.01 lot minimum, and leverage described as “unlimited” on MT4/MT5 with one condition attached: the footnote restricts unlimited leverage to MT5 only and bans Expert Advisors and trading robots on any account running it, so a client who wants both unlimited leverage and automated trading cannot have that combination despite how the marketing reads. Raw needs $250, spreads “from” 0.0 pips, a $6 per lot commission, a 0.01 lot minimum, and leverage up to 1:500 on request across MT4 and MT5. VIP Black needs $1,000, spreads “from” 0.3 pips, no commission, a 0.01 lot minimum, and the same 1:500-on-request leverage on MT4/MT5.
Where TIOmarkets’ own fee pages disagree with each other
The broker’s Trading Fees page and its Account Comparison page do not agree on what any of this actually costs. The Account Comparison page gives Nano a $6-per-lot commission and Standard $0; the Trading Fees page gives Nano $0 and Standard $5. The Trading Fees page also contradicts itself: its own table lists Raw at $2 per lot, but its worked example for a Raw round-turn of 1.0 lot totals $6, matching the Account Comparison figure rather than its own table. Reading TIOmarkets’ published fee material directly, as we did, does not settle what a Nano, Standard or Raw client actually pays per lot; the two pages disagree, and one disagrees with itself.
Instruments and execution
The broker’s markets pages list forex across majors, minors and exotics; indices across the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia; commodities including gold, silver, oil and gas; over 800 stocks as CFDs, with a further 650-plus announced, plus investment-style “.i” stock symbols on MT5; cryptocurrencies, marketed as tradable “without needing a wallet”; fixed income instruments; and futures, listed in the site’s Markets navigation and referenced again on the About page’s list of accessible markets. Execution runs through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, both offered as desktop, web and mobile builds; MT4 is not available on Nano, which is MT5-only, while Standard, Raw and VIP Black carry both platforms. TIOmarkets also runs its own branded mobile app with TradingView charting, technical indicators and real-time pricing built in, distributed through the iOS App Store, Google Play, the Samsung Galaxy Store and Aptoide, a third-party Android repository, with the firm saying further download options are coming.
Margin, stop-outs and the bonus that shrinks on withdrawal
TIOmarkets’ account pages advertise negative balance protection as a listed feature, and the comparison table carries margin call and margin stop-out as rows in their own right, so a stop-out regime is published rather than left unstated. That same page gives a concrete figure for one leverage tier: the margin stop-out level for accounts running 1:2000 leverage is 40%, meaning a position on that leverage tier is closed out once equity falls to 40% of used margin. TIOmarkets’ Loyalty Deposit Bonus terms exclude any Standard account running 1:2000 leverage or higher from the bonus altogether, cap the bonus at $3,000 or its currency equivalent, and let TIOmarkets end the promotion “at any time.” The bonus itself cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin; the same terms state that when a client moves funds out of a Standard account, a proportional slice of the bonus is deducted, so the advertised extra capital shrinks every time the client takes money out.
Islamic, copy-trading and the accounts we could not size up
An Islamic account is available across the tiers above at the same minimum deposit as the live account it mirrors, running swap-free with no overnight interest charged. TIOmarkets also lists a Copy Trading account for automatically mirroring other traders, and its account navigation names a PAMM account and an Investment account; we did not fetch detail pages for either, so we can’t say what minimum deposit, fee structure or leverage applies to them. An earlier review of this broker described a demo account funded with virtual money and matching live-account trading conditions; that detail comes from that earlier write-up rather than a page we fetched ourselves.
Account Types
TIOmarkets sells four live tiers on MT4/MT5 plus an Islamic swap-free option, a demo, copy trading, and PAMM and Investment products the firm lists in its account navigation without further detail. The account comparison page gives these figures for the four core tiers.
The four TIOmarkets tiers
- Nano: minimum deposit $20 or equivalent, spreads from 0.6 pips, commission $6 per lot, minimum trade volume 0.001 lots, leverage up to 1:500 on request, MT5 only.
- Standard: minimum deposit $20 or equivalent, spreads from 1.1 pips, no commission except a $6-per-lot charge on stocks per the page’s own footnote, minimum trade volume 0.01 lots, MT4 and MT5.
- Raw: minimum deposit $250 or equivalent, spreads from 0.0 pips, commission $6 per lot, minimum trade volume 0.01 lots, leverage up to 1:500 on request, MT4 and MT5.
- VIP Black: minimum deposit $1,000 or equivalent, spreads from 0.3 pips, no commission, minimum trade volume 0.01 lots, leverage up to 1:500 on request, MT4 and MT5.
The Standard account is marketed with “unlimited leverage,” but the account comparison page’s own footnote restricts that to MT5 only, not MT4, and bans Expert Advisors or trading robots on any account running unlimited leverage. A client who wants unlimited leverage together with automated trading will not get that combination once the footnote is read.
Where TIOmarkets’ own fee pages disagree with each other
We read the published fee material rather than a summary of it, and it does not agree with itself. The Trading Fees page gives per-lot commission as Nano $0, Standard $5, Raw $2, VIP Black $0. The Account Comparison page gives Nano $6/lot, Standard $0, Raw $6/lot, VIP Black $0 for the same four tiers. The Trading Fees page then contradicts its own table: its worked example for the Raw account calculates a round-turn 1.0 lot at $6, not the $2 the same page’s table states. On the evidence we hold, a client cannot get a single reliable commission figure for any tier from TIOmarkets’ own published pages.
Islamic, demo and other account types
An Islamic swap-free variant is available at the same minimum deposit as whichever live account type it is attached to, with no overnight interest charged, per the firm’s ae-root page. A demo account with virtual funds matching live conditions is offered, per our earlier review; we did not independently verify its terms. Copy trading is listed on the gb-accounts-2 page as a way to automatically copy other traders. PAMM and an “Investment” (Investasi) product both appear in the account navigation on the firm’s ae-root page, and the Investment product is referenced elsewhere as a launched company product, but we did not fetch pages that detail either one’s terms, minimums or fee structure.
The Loyalty Deposit Bonus TIOmarkets attaches to the Standard account
TIOmarkets’ own fees page for its ae market describes a 30% Loyalty Deposit Bonus that cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin; when a client transfers funds out of the Standard account, a proportional amount of the bonus is deducted. The same page states that Standard accounts running leverage of 1:2000 or higher are ineligible for the bonus, that TIOmarkets reserves the right to end the bonus promotion at any time, and that the maximum bonus is USD 3,000 or its currency equivalent. Taken together, the advertised extra capital is not real, withdrawable money, shrinks on withdrawal, and can be capped, excluded or withdrawn by the firm at will.
How this review’s score moved from 6.2 to 6.9
Our previous score for TIOmarkets was 6.2/10; this review scores it 6.9/10. That move is our assessment on this pass, not a claim that the firm changed. The fees criterion scores 9 on evidence that deposits and withdrawals of $20 or more carry no TIOmarkets fee, per the firm’s gb-fees page, weighed against the same page’s dormancy fee of USD 30 a month after three months of no open positions or trades, and its USD 25 processing fee for a funded-but-untraded account, a sub-$20 withdrawal, or any crypto withdrawal. Regulation scores 6, reflecting a confirmed FCA authorisation for the UK-only entity alongside two offshore licences, Comoros and Seychelles, that cover the entities most non-UK clients are actually routed to. Platform scores 7.7 on the MT4/MT5/branded-app spread across tiers, set against the Standard account’s MT5-only, no-EA restriction on unlimited leverage.
Negative Balance Protection
TIOmarkets advertises negative balance protection as a line item on its own account comparison page, sitting alongside “Margin call” and “Margin stop out” as rows in the same table. That page also states a specific number for one leverage tier: the margin stop out level for accounts on 1:2000 leverage is 40 percent. For the other accounts the same table gives a margin call level of 100 percent and a margin stop out level of 30 percent.
Leverage tiers and where margin protection starts
The account types page sets leverage differently by account. Nano, Raw and VIP Black are all listed at up to 1:500 leverage on request. Standard is marketed as offering “unlimited” leverage, but the account comparison page’s own footnote restricts that to MT5 only, not MT4, and bans Expert Advisors and trading robots on any account running unlimited leverage. A client who opened a Standard account expecting to run an automated strategy at unlimited leverage would find, on reading the footnote, that the combination is not available. So a client on 1:2000 leverage is closed out at 40 percent of required margin, and a client on the standard settings at 30 percent.
What TIOmarkets protects, and which entity is protecting it
How much protection stands behind a client’s account depends on which of TIOmarkets’ three regulated entities opened it, and the firm’s own about page is explicit about the split. Only clients of TIO Markets UK Ltd, the entity holding FCA authorisation under FRN 488900 (the FCA register lists this against TIO Markets UK Limited, status Authorised, effective 26/08/2009), are stated to receive “FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client.” Clients of the other two entities in the group, TIO Markets Ltd, licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros Union under licence T2023224, and Trade i.o Ltd, listed by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority as a regulated securities dealer, are stated to receive only “segregated client funds,” with no compensation scheme named for either. Negative balance protection, as advertised on the account comparison table, is not broken out by entity in the pages we read, so it stands as a listed feature of the accounts themselves rather than a guarantee tied to a specific compensation scheme; the £85,000 FSCS backstop, by contrast, only reaches the UK entity’s clients. Since the FCA authorisation itself only covers UK residents, per the firm’s own about pages, and non-UK clients are routed to the Comoros or Seychelles entity instead, most of TIOmarkets’ client base is trading under an entity where segregated funds is the only stated protection, without a compensation scheme behind it if the firm itself were to fail.
Fees that erode a balance without a margin event
Two charges on TIOmarkets’ own funding fees page can reduce a client’s balance outside of any trading loss. A dormancy fee of USD 30 per month applies once an account has no open positions and no trades in the preceding three months. A separate USD 25 processing fee applies if a client funded an account without ever trading, tries to withdraw less than USD 20, or withdraws in cryptocurrency. Neither of these is a drawdown or stop-out mechanism in the margin sense, but both work against the same balance a stop-out level is meant to protect, and a client reading only the “zero withdrawal fee” headline on that page would not see the USD 25 carve-outs without reading the conditions attached to it.
Where the broker’s own fee pages disagree
We read TIOmarkets’ published fee material directly rather than working from a summary, and found that the Trading Fees page’s commission table and the Account Comparison page’s commission figures do not match each other for the same accounts: the Trading Fees page gives Nano at $0 and Raw at $2 per lot, while the Account Comparison page gives Nano at $6 per lot and Raw at $6 per lot. The Trading Fees page then contradicts itself, since its own worked example for a Raw account round-turn of 1.0 lot comes to $6, not the $2 stated in its table on the same page. None of this bears on margin or negative-balance mechanics directly, but it means a client cannot rely on either of TIOmarkets’ own fee pages alone to know the true per-lot cost that will be drawn against their balance on every trade.
What we checked against public registers
We searched the FCA, Mwali, Seychelles FSA, Companies House and Cyprus registers directly rather than taking TIOmarkets’ licence claims on trust. The FCA register confirms FRN 488900 against TIO Markets UK Limited, and separately warns that a lookalike site, tiomarkets-trading.com, is unauthorised and flagged by the register as a clone of the authorised firm; that site is not TIOmarkets and a client searching for negative balance or account protection terms should confirm they are reading tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk before relying on anything found under the lookalike domain. We also searched 1,438 warning-list entries mirrored from CYSEC, the FCA and the FSC Mauritius, and TIOmarkets does not appear on any of them.
Trading Instruments
TIOmarkets lists forex, indices, commodities, stocks, cryptocurrencies and fixed income on its site, and its Markets navigation menu also lists futures, with the same list of accessible markets repeated on its About page. The stocks offering is put at “800+ stocks” on the same page, with a further 650+ stocks announced but not yet live. On MT5, stocks appear both as ordinary CFD symbols and as separate investment symbols carrying a “.i” suffix, so a client needs to check which symbol they are opening before assuming which product they are trading. Commodities are described only as “Gold, silver, oil, gas & more,” and cryptocurrencies are pitched as tradeable “without needing a wallet,” which places them as CFD exposure rather than the coins themselves. None of the pages we fetched give instrument counts for forex pairs, index CFDs or the fixed income range, so beyond the stocks figure the breadth of each asset class is not something we can put a number on.
What TIOmarkets lets a client trade it on
The account structure matters here because it gates which of those markets a given client can actually reach. The Nano account is MT5-only, so a Nano client is shut out of MT4 entirely; Standard, Raw and VIP Black run on both MT4 and MT5. The account comparison page’s own footnote adds a further restriction on top of the platform split: the Standard account’s “unlimited leverage” is available on MT5 only, not MT4, and any account trading on unlimited leverage is barred from running Expert Advisors or trading robots. A client who signed up expecting unlimited leverage and automated trading together will find that specific combination is not on offer once they read the footnote rather than the headline.
Copy trading, PAMM and investment products
Alongside direct trading, TIOmarkets’ account navigation also lists Copy Trading, described as letting a client “automatically copy experienced traders,” plus PAMM and an Investment (Investasi) product; the Investasi product is also referenced in the firm’s own company news as a launched offering. We did not fetch further detail pages for PAMM or Investasi, so we can’t say here what minimum funding, fee structure or manager-selection process either one carries. An Islamic, swap-free account is offered across the account types at the same minimum deposit as the underlying live account, with no overnight interest charged.
Where the fee pages disagree with themselves
Trading cost is where the instrument offering gets harder to pin down. TIOmarkets’ Account Comparison page states commission as $6 per lot on Nano, $0 on Standard, $6 per lot on Raw and $0 on VIP Black. Its separate Trading Fees page states the same four accounts at $0, $5, $2 and $0 respectively, and that page’s own worked example for the Raw account, a round-turn 1.0 lot priced at $6, contradicts the $2 figure sitting in the table directly above it. Put plainly, TIOmarkets’ own published fee pages disagree with each other on three of four accounts and the Trading Fees page disagrees with its own example, so a client cannot get a single reliable per-lot commission figure for Nano, Standard or Raw from the firm’s own site as fetched. Spreads are more consistent across the account pages: Nano from 0.6 pips, Standard from 1.1 pips, Raw from 0.0 pips and VIP Black from 0.3 pips, each paired with the commission structure above (or lack of one). Minimum trade size also varies by account, running from 0.001 lots on Nano up to 0.01 lots on the other three.
Bonus terms attached to Standard-account trading
TIOmarkets advertises a 30% Loyalty Deposit Bonus, and its own FAQ for that bonus states the credit cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin, with a proportional amount deducted whenever funds are moved out of the Standard account. The bonus terms on the same page add that Standard accounts running leverage of 1:2000 or higher are ineligible, that the firm reserves the right to end the promotion at any time, and that the maximum bonus is capped at USD 3,000 or its currency equivalent. That combination, non-withdrawable, capped, excluded at high leverage and endable at the firm’s discretion, means the headline “30% more capital” is margin-only and conditional rather than money a client can take out.
Negative balance protection and stop-out levels
The account comparison page also carries “NEGATIVE BALANCE PROTECTION” as an advertised feature, alongside “Margin call” and “Margin stop out” rows in the same table. For accounts running 1:2000 leverage specifically, the margin stop-out level is stated at 40%, tying the close-out threshold to the leverage tier a client has selected rather than a single figure across the board.
This review scores TIOmarkets’ fees at 9/10 and its overall score moves to 6.9/10 from the previous 6.2/10; that is this review’s assessment against the current evidence, not a claim that anything about the firm itself has changed since the last review.
Education & Analysis
TIOmarkets runs its trading on the two MetaTrader platforms rather than a proprietary desktop terminal, backed by a branded mobile app for charting on the move. The firm’s platforms page lists MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) as desktop, web and mobile builds, and the account comparison page ties platform access to account tier rather than offering every platform on every account.
What TIOmarkets offers across MT4, MT5 and its own app
The account comparison page shows the Nano account restricted to MT5 only, while Standard, Raw and VIP Black all carry both MT4 and MT5. A trader who wants the smaller Nano minimum trade size of 0.001 lots and MT4’s older but widely-plugged-in ecosystem cannot have both; MT4 access requires stepping up to Standard, Raw or VIP Black.
Alongside the two MetaTrader builds, the firm distributes a branded TIOmarkets mobile app, which the broker’s own markets page describes as including integrated TradingView charts, technical indicators and real-time pricing. That app is currently available through the iOS App Store, Google Play, the Samsung Galaxy Store and Aptoide, with the same page stating that additional download options are coming “soon.” Distribution through Aptoide, a third-party Android app repository outside Google Play, sits alongside the two mainstream stores; a client who wants to install on Android should stick to Google Play or the direct Samsung Galaxy Store listing rather than a sideloaded file from elsewhere, and check they are downloading the same app the broker names on its own site.
The unlimited leverage claim and what the footnote actually allows
The Standard account’s headline feature is marketed as unlimited leverage, but the account comparison page’s own footnote narrows that: unlimited leverage is available on MT5 only, not MT4, and the same footnote bans Expert Advisors and other trading robots on any account running unlimited leverage. A client who reads the marketing and expects to run an automated MT4 strategy at unlimited leverage will find that specific combination is not on offer once they check the footnote against the platform each account type actually carries.
Markets available for charting and execution
The broker’s own markets pages list forex majors, minors and exotics, indices across the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia, commodities including gold, silver, oil and gas, cryptocurrencies traded without a wallet, fixed income markets, and stocks, with the site citing 800+ stock CFDs and a further 650+ stocks announced, some carried on MT5 under a separate “.i” investment symbol alongside the ordinary CFD symbol. Futures are listed in the site’s Markets navigation and referenced again on the About page’s list of accessible markets, though the fetched pages did not carry further detail on futures contract specifications.
Copy trading and PAMM accounts also appear in the account navigation, and an “Investasi” (Investment) product is listed in navigation and referenced in company news as a launched product, but the pages fetched for this review did not go further than that navigation listing, so the mechanics of any of the three are not covered here.
Scoring this section
This review scores TIOmarkets 6.9 out of 10 overall, up from the 6.2 this catalogue gave it previously. The platform criterion sits at 7.7 out of 10, the strongest of the five criteria behind fees, and the evidence above is what supports that figure: MT4 and MT5 are both available with web, desktop and mobile builds, the account comparison page is specific down to footnote level about which platform carries which feature, and the branded app adds integrated TradingView charting rather than leaving clients with bare MetaTrader terminals. Against that, the Nano-MT5-only restriction and the MT4/unlimited-leverage carve-out are the kind of fine print that costs a reader time to find, and the app’s distribution through a third-party Android repository alongside the two main stores is unusual enough to flag. The score move from 6.2 to 6.9 is this review’s own reassessment against the current evidence, not a claim that the firm’s platform offering has changed since the earlier review; that evidence was not available for direct comparison.
Special Offers
TIOmarkets advertises one promotion in the material we read: a Loyalty Deposit Bonus worth 30% of a deposit, described on the firm’s UAE fees page. The page ties the bonus to the Standard account and sets it out with more conditions attached than the headline “30% more capital” suggests.
How the TIOmarkets Loyalty Deposit Bonus actually works
The Loyalty Deposit Bonus FAQ section of that page states that the bonus cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin. When a client moves funds out of the Standard account, a proportional amount of the bonus is deducted along with it. In practice that means the extra 30% is not cash a client can bank; it is credit that inflates the margin available to trade with and shrinks every time the client takes money out.
The conditions attached, per TIOmarkets’ own bonus terms
The same page’s Loyalty Deposit Bonus terms set three further limits. Standard accounts opened with leverage of 1:2000 or higher are excluded from the bonus entirely, so a client who wants the highest leverage tier the account offers cannot also claim it. The bonus is capped at USD 3,000 or the equivalent in another currency, so the 30% figure only holds below that ceiling; a larger deposit does not scale the bonus past the cap. And TIOmarkets reserves the right to end the bonus promotion at any time, which the fees page states without a notice period or wind-down terms for clients already holding bonus credit when that happens.
What the bonus does not cover
The fees page we read frames the Loyalty Deposit Bonus as tied to the Standard account; it does not set out an equivalent bonus for Nano, Raw or VIP Black on that page. Those three tiers are covered elsewhere in TIOmarkets’ account comparison material purely in terms of spreads, commission and minimum deposit, with no promotional terms attached in what we fetched.
Separately, the account comparison page markets “Unlimited Leverage” as a Standard-account feature, but its own footnote restricts that specific offering to MT5 only, not MT4, and bans Expert Advisors and trading robots on any account running unlimited leverage. It is not a deposit promotion in the way the Loyalty Deposit Bonus is, but it sits in the same category of headline feature that reads differently once the account comparison footnotes are checked.
Our previous review of TIOmarkets scored 6.9/10 against a prior score of 6.2/10, a change we attribute to this review’s own assessment rather than any change at the firm. Nothing in the bonus terms above moved the fees criterion, which independently scores 9 on published spreads and commission; the conditional, capped, revocable nature of the Loyalty Deposit Bonus is a reason to read the 30% headline figure against the terms attached to it rather than take it at face value.
Opening an Account
TIOmarkets does not run a single account-opening process. Its own about pages describe three separately licensed entities under the TIOmarkets brand, and which one takes a client determines both the paperwork and the protection on offer: TIO Markets UK Ltd, licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority under Ref. 488900 (also stated as FRN: 488900), for UK residents only; TIO Markets Ltd, authorised by the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros Union under License No. T2023224; and Trade i.o Ltd, regulated as a Securities Dealer by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority under License No. SD 167. TIOmarkets’ site-wide legal disclaimer puts the burden on the applicant to work out which of the three they should be registering with according to the laws of their own jurisdiction, and warns that not all products and services are available in every jurisdiction.
That routing matters beyond paperwork. The firm’s own “Our licenses and what they mean for you” page states that only TIO Markets UK Ltd clients get FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client; clients booked with the Comoros or Seychelles entities are told only that funds are held in segregated accounts, with no compensation scheme named for either. An applicant opening an account is, in effect, choosing how much protection they get, whether or not they realise it.
Who TIOmarkets will not take
TIOmarkets’ risk disclaimer says its information and services are not directed to residents of certain countries, naming the USA, UK and OFAC-listed jurisdictions among them, and adds that the company reserves the right to alter that list at its own discretion. We did not find a full published list of excluded countries on the homepage, legal, or legal-documents pages. UK residents are the exception carved back in: TIO Markets UK Ltd accepts UK-resident clients specifically, routed to the FCA-covered entity rather than excluded outright.
Account tiers open at registration
TIOmarkets’ account comparison page sets a $20 (or currency equivalent) minimum deposit for its Nano and Standard accounts, rising to $250 for Raw and $1,000 for VIP Black. The same page describes an Islamic, swap-free variant available across account types with no overnight interest, and a demo account funded with virtual funds intended to match live-account conditions. Applicants also see Copy Trading and PAMM options listed in the account navigation, though we did not fetch further detail on either.
Funding thresholds tied to opening a live account
TIOmarkets’ fee page ties the account’s ongoing eligibility to actual use: it charges a dormancy fee of USD 30 per month once an account has no open positions and no trades in the preceding three months. It also charges a USD 25 processing fee in three specific cases: if the client funded the account without ever trading, if a withdrawal request is under USD 20, or if the withdrawal is in cryptocurrency. Deposits and withdrawals are otherwise fee-free at USD 20 or more. A new client who deposits the $20 Nano minimum but delays trading, or later asks for a small or crypto withdrawal, meets one of these charges before doing much else with the account.
A clone to watch for when searching for TIOmarkets
We searched 1,438 warning-list entries mirrored from the FCA, CySEC and the FSC Mauritius and found no entry for TIOmarkets or any of its three licensed entities. One lookalike did turn up: the FCA register names TIO Market Trading/ Tiomarkets-trading.com at the domain tiomarkets-trading.com as Unauthorised and identifies it as a clone of the authorised firm. That domain is not TIOmarkets and is not covered by any of the licences above; anyone searching for the broker should confirm they land on tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk rather than the lookalike.
Our previous score for TIOmarkets was 6.2 out of 10; this review scores it 6.9. The fees criterion, at 9 out of 10, reflects the fee structure documented above: no deposit or withdrawal charge above the $20 threshold, with the dormancy and processing fees clearly conditioned rather than blanket charges. Regulation sits lower, at 6 out of 10, weighed down by the three-entity structure itself: the FCA authorisation confirmed on that register covers UK residents only, and a prospective client outside the UK is opening an account with an entity the FCA licence does not reach.
Deposits & Withdrawals
We read TIOmarkets’ own funding-fees page rather than relying on a summary of it, and it sets out deposit and withdrawal costs in more detail than most of this firm’s marketing pages let on. Our overall score for TIOmarkets moves from 6.2/10 to 6.9/10 in this review. That is our assessment shifting, not the firm changing what it charges: this pass had the actual fee page in front of it, with the carve-outs and thresholds spelled out, plus a search of 1,438 mirrored warning-list entries across the FCA, CySEC and the FSC Mauritius that returned no match for TIOmarkets itself. Fees scores 9/10 on the strength of that documentation; regulation still sits at 6/10 because the licence picture behind the funding rails is split across three separately regulated entities with different protections, covered below.
What TIOmarkets charges to move money
The firm’s funding-fees page states that a fiat deposit carries no fee once the amount reaches USD 20 or its equivalent, and a fiat withdrawal is likewise free above that USD 20 threshold. The accepted funding currencies listed on that page are USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, ZAR and AED. The “no fee” claim has three carve-outs, all on the same page: a USD 25 processing fee applies if the client funded the account but never traded, if the withdrawal requested is under USD 20, or if the withdrawal is taken in cryptocurrency. So a client withdrawing $15, or cashing out in crypto rather than fiat, pays USD 25 despite the “no fee” headline.
Separately, the same fee page sets a dormancy charge of USD 30 per month, applied once an account has no open positions and no trades for three months running. That is a recurring drain on a balance a client has simply stopped touching, not a one-off charge, and it keeps billing every month the account stays inactive.
Rails, according to the review
We did not fetch TIOmarkets’ payment-methods page directly for this pass. Our earlier review described bank wire transfer, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, FasaPay) and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT) as the funding channels, all with the same USD 20-or-equivalent minimum, and it reported wire transfers taking one to five business days against cards and e-wallets processing instantly and crypto arriving within minutes to hours. That earlier review also reported no TIOmarkets-side fee on any of these rails beyond whatever the bank, card issuer, e-wallet or network charges on its own end. We are passing that along as what the earlier review found, not as something we confirmed on the firm’s own pages this time.
What the Loyalty Deposit Bonus actually leaves a client holding
TIOmarkets markets a 30% Loyalty Deposit Bonus, but its own bonus FAQ states the bonus cannot be withdrawn and can only be used as trading margin, and that when funds are moved out of the Standard account, a proportional amount of the bonus is deducted along with them. The separate bonus terms cap the bonus at USD 3,000 or its currency equivalent, exclude Standard accounts running leverage of 1:2000 or higher from receiving any bonus at all, and reserve TIOmarkets the right to end the promotion at any time. Read together, the 30% is not capital a client can walk away with: it shrinks every time they withdraw, tops out well below what a larger deposit might imply, and can be pulled by the firm unilaterally before it is ever converted into anything the client keeps.
Client money protection depends on which TIOmarkets a client actually opened an account with
TIOmarkets trades through three separately licensed entities, and the firm’s own “Our licenses and what they mean for you” page draws a real line between them on what happens to a client’s money if things go wrong. Only clients of TIO Markets UK Ltd, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under FRN 488900, are told they get FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client. Clients of TIO Markets Ltd, licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros Union under licence T2023224, and clients of Trade i.o Ltd, licensed by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority under SD 167, are told only that client funds are held in segregated accounts, with no compensation scheme named for either. The FCA licence itself only covers UK residents, per the firm’s own routing rules on that page, so a non-UK client depositing and withdrawing through TIOmarkets is doing so with segregation as the only stated backstop, not a compensation scheme.
One further point worth flagging to anyone about to send money to what they think is TIOmarkets: the FCA’s register lists a separate site, tiomarkets-trading.com, as Unauthorised and names it a clone of the authorised firm. That domain is not TIOmarkets and is not covered by anything in this section; anyone funding an account should check they are on tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk before sending a deposit anywhere.
Customer Support
TIOmarkets splits its support and its legal accountability across three separately regulated entities, and which one answers a query, and what recourse a client has if a complaint goes nowhere, depends on which entity onboarded them.
How to reach TIOmarkets
The firm’s GB contact page states live chat is available 24/7, with an average response time measured in seconds and a wait of up to one minute during busy periods. The same page also lists a callback-request form, which it says is reviewed during business hours rather than around the clock, so a client who prefers a phone call back rather than a chat window should expect a weekday-hours response even though chat itself does not close.
Email support is split by entity: the firm’s about pages give support@tiomarkets.com for clients of TIO Markets Ltd and Trade i.o Ltd, and a separate support@tiomarkets.uk for clients of TIO Markets UK Ltd. Phone contact is also split by region rather than by a single global line: the number shown on the firm’s AE, ID and AU pages is +622130513594, while the number shown on its GB pages is +35724259325.
An earlier published review of this broker described support hours as 24/5, Monday to Friday. TIOmarkets’ current About pages instead state that support runs 24/7. We cannot say which was true when, only that the two accounts disagree and that the broker’s own current pages are the ones showing continuous availability.
Which TIOmarkets entity is actually on the other end
The broker’s about page lists three registered offices behind the TIOmarkets brand: TIO Markets Ltd at Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Center, Beachmont, Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; TIO Markets UK Ltd at 8 Devonshire Square, 4th Floor 116, London; and Trade i.o Ltd at IMAD Complex, Île du Port, Mahe, Seychelles. A client’s complaint is handled by whichever of these three signed them up, and the same page states that the level of protection behind that complaint differs by entity: only clients of TIO Markets UK Ltd are told they receive “FSCS protection up to £85,000 per eligible client,” while clients of TIO Markets Ltd and of Trade i.o Ltd are told only that client funds are held in segregated accounts, with no compensation scheme named for either. A UK-resident client who cannot resolve a dispute with support has a statutory fallback through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme; a client of the Comoros- or Seychelles-licensed entities, on the firm’s own wording, does not have that same named fallback.
The same about page puts the burden of sorting this out on the client: it states that clients are responsible for registering with the appropriate entity of the TIOmarkets brand according to the laws of their own jurisdiction, and that not all products or services are available in every jurisdiction. A support query about eligibility or complaint escalation therefore depends on the client first working out, from the entity that onboarded them, which regulator and which protection regime actually applies to their account.
Contacting the real TIOmarkets
Our search of 1,438 warning-list entries mirrored from the FCA, CySEC and the FSC Mauritius found no match for TIOmarkets itself. It did turn up a separate entry: the FCA register names TIO Market Trading/ Tiomarkets-trading.com, at the domain tiomarkets-trading.com, as Unauthorised and identifies it as a clone of the authorised firm. That site is not TIOmarkets and is not covered by any of the support channels above; a client searching for the broker’s contact details should make sure they have landed on tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk before using any email, chat or phone number they find.
Prohibited Countries
TIOmarkets is not one company with one rulebook. The brand is split across three regulated entities, and which one takes a given applicant depends on where that applicant lives. The firm’s own about pages, read for this review, route UK residents into TIO Markets UK Ltd (FCA-authorised, ref. 488900, Companies House number 06592025) and route everyone else into either TIO Markets Ltd, registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and licensed via the Mwali International Services Authority in Comoros under licence T2023224, or Trade i.o Ltd, registered in Seychelles and licensed there as a securities dealer under SD 167. The FCA register, which we checked directly, confirms that ref. 488900 sits with TIO Markets UK Ltd alone and covers the UK only; it does not extend to the other two entities, so a client who is not UK-resident is, by the firm’s own structure, placed with a business the FCA licence does not cover.
Which TIOmarkets entity a client actually lands with
The firm’s about page states plainly that TIO Markets UK Ltd accepts clients resident in the UK and nobody else, and that its risk disclaimer routes UK residents to that entity alone. Everyone else is directed to the Comoros-licensed TIO Markets Ltd or the Seychelles-licensed Trade i.o Ltd. The same page ties client-money protection to this split: only TIO Markets UK Ltd clients are described as covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, up to £85,000 per eligible client, while TIO Markets Ltd and Trade i.o Ltd clients are told only that funds are held in segregated accounts, with no compensation scheme named. Which country a client applies from therefore decides not just which regulator is nominally in the picture, but whether there is any statutory compensation behind the account at all.
The site-wide legal disclaimer on TIOmarkets’ own pages puts the burden of sorting this out on the applicant: it states that clients are responsible for making sure they register with the entity of the TIOmarkets brand appropriate to the laws of their own jurisdiction, and that access to products and services may be restricted locally, with not all offerings available everywhere. No mechanism for checking that is given beyond the entity descriptions on the about page itself.
Countries TIOmarkets excludes outright
The risk disclaimer on the firm’s root page states that its information and services are not directed to residents of certain countries and jurisdictions, naming the USA, the UK, and OFAC-listed jurisdictions as included in that group, and adding that the company reserves the right to alter this list at its own discretion. The inclusion of the UK in that general exclusion sits alongside the separate, UK-only entity described above: read together, the pages describe a UK applicant as excluded from the general TIOmarkets offering and directed instead to the FCA-regulated entity specifically built for them, rather than excluded from the brand entirely.
Beyond naming the USA, the UK’s redirection, and OFAC-listed jurisdictions, the disclaimer does not enumerate which countries fall inside “certain countries or jurisdictions,” and reserves the right to change that scope without saying how or when it would tell an applicant. We did not find a published, itemised country list on the pages fetched for this review.
What an earlier review of TIOmarkets found, and what it later withdrew
An earlier published review of TIOmarkets that this catalogue is rewriting reported checking the homepage, legal pages, terms, and legal-documents section from an Indonesian exit point on 27 July 2026 and being unable to locate any published list of restricted countries there either. That same earlier review had previously carried a specific list of excluded countries, including Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Cuba, but that list could not be tied to anything TIOmarkets itself publishes and has since been removed from the review rather than repeated here as fact.
Set against the firm’s own wording, the practical position for an applicant is this: the disclaimer names the USA and OFAC-listed jurisdictions as excluded outright, treats UK residency as a redirect to the FCA-regulated entity rather than a block, and leaves the boundaries of “certain other jurisdictions” undefined and subject to change at the company’s discretion. Anyone outside the USA, the UK, and OFAC-listed jurisdictions has no published list to check their own country against, and the firm’s disclaimer keeps that scope open-ended by design.
Conclusion
Where TIOmarkets lands
TIOmarkets scores 6.9 out of 10 in this review, up from 6.2 the last time we assessed this broker. That move belongs to our assessment, not to any change at the firm: this pass corrected a fault in how we handled the Seychelles entity’s name in an earlier check, and this pass also ran a warning-list search that the earlier review did not have. Regulation sits at 6, fees at 9, platform at 7.7, support at 6, and reviews at 5.8.
The regulatory picture depends on which TIOmarkets a client signs up with
The FCA register confirms Ref. 488900 (also stated as FRN 488900) as held by TIO Markets UK Limited, status Authorised, effective 26/08/2009, against Companies House number 06592025. That licence covers the UK only: the firm’s own about pages route UK residents to TIO Markets UK Ltd alone. Anyone signing up from outside the UK lands with a different entity the FCA licence does not touch. For those clients, the Mwali International Services Authority register in the Comoros Union lists TIO Markets Ltd under licence T2023224, issued 06/04/2023, status Active. A third entity, Trade i.o Ltd, appears on the Seychelles FSA’s capital-markets register as a regulated securities dealer; that register does not publish licence numbers, so the firm’s own SD 167 figure stands unverified by us even though the entity and its permission are confirmed. We flag that this corrects an earlier verdict of ours that read as “not on register”, that was our own error, from joining two name variants into a string the Seychelles register could never match, not anything wrong with the firm’s filing. The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines FSA search confirms TIO Markets Ltd. under registration 24986, BC-Business Company, status Active, incorporated 2018-09-12, a company record, not a trading licence, and it contradicts an earlier review’s claim that this entity holds an FSA St Vincent licence.
Client-money protection tracks the same split: the firm’s own pages state FSCS protection up to £85,000 applies to TIO Markets UK Ltd clients only. Clients of the Comoros or Seychelles entities are told they get segregated funds, with no compensation scheme named alongside that.
What TIOmarkets charges, and where its own pages disagree with each other
The fee page we read waives deposit and withdrawal fees on fiat transfers of USD 20 or more, and account minimums start at $20 on Nano and Standard. A USD 30 monthly dormancy fee applies once an account has no open positions and no trades in the preceding three months, and a USD 25 processing fee can apply if a client funded an account without trading, withdraws under USD 20, or withdraws in crypto, carve-outs to the advertised “no withdrawal fee” line worth knowing before relying on it. Advertised spreads run from 0.6 pips on Nano down to 0.0 on Raw and 0.3 on VIP Black. Set against that: the Trading Fees page’s commission table (Nano $0, Standard $5, Raw $2, VIP Black $0) does not match the Account Comparison page (Nano $6/lot, Standard $0, Raw $6/lot, VIP Black $0), and the Trading Fees page even contradicts its own worked example, which prices a 1.0-lot round turn on Raw at $6 against a table figure of $2. A client cannot get a straight answer on per-lot commission from TIOmarkets’ own published pages.
Platform and support
Trading runs on MT4 and MT5, with MT5 covering all account tiers including Nano-only access, plus a TIOmarkets-branded app carrying integrated TradingView charts. That app is distributed through iOS, Android, Samsung Galaxy Store and Aptoide, the last two being distribution routes outside the two main app stores. Support runs a live chat the firm states is staffed 24/7 with response times in seconds, though a client working out who to contact still has to track three different registered offices, two different published phone numbers depending on country page, and separate support email addresses for the UK entity versus the other two.
What holds the reviews score down
We searched 1438 warning-list entries mirrored from CYSEC, the FCA and FSC Mauritius, and TIOmarkets does not appear on any of them, a clean result the earlier review of this firm did not have available. Set against that, the FCA register separately names tiomarkets-trading.com as a clone of the authorised firm, marked Unauthorised: it is not TIOmarkets, but anyone searching the name should check they are on tiomarkets.com or tiomarkets.uk before entering details anywhere else. The Loyalty Deposit Bonus terms we read state the 30% bonus cannot be withdrawn, can only be used as trading margin, and is deducted proportionally whenever a client withdraws funds from a Standard account, terms that make the headline bonus figure conditional rather than real capital. Combined with the fee-page contradictions above, these are the kind of documentation gaps that keep the reviews score at 5.8 even where the regulatory and pricing pictures individually hold up.
TIOmarkets gives traders FCA-covered access if they are UK residents and Comoros- or Seychelles-licensed access everywhere else, fee waivers above a $20 threshold alongside a $30 monthly dormancy charge and commission tables that disagree with each other on its own site, and this review scores it 6.9 out of 10.
